The Best Skin Care Regimen for Treating Acne by MIJ Sadique
Skin care for an acne prone skin is much more important as you have to take due care and precautions to not exacerbate the situation any further. Skin suffering from acne is in a very delicate and sensitive situation and all products that you would use on your skin have to be medicated and in accordance to an acne prone skin. Pantothenic acid acne treatments are very popular as it is known to work wonderfully on acne. It tightens the pores and controls oil production of the skin by escalating the metabolism of fats. Adopt acne vitamin B5 as the best solution for acne; you may take it orally or apply ointments with pantothenic acid.
Let’s look the best possible skin care regime for your acne prone skin:
1. Cleansing: The first step would be to keep your skin clean with a cleanser that is mild and good to YOUR skin. Keep away from soaps as they tend to deprive the skin from even the essential oils. Creamy cleanser soap may still be fine to try if you have a dry skin. Don’t think that too much cleansing would be good as it can do more harm than good. Just cleanse your face twice and especially before you go to bed. Lightly dab your face with a towel and DO NOT RUB. You may use lukewarm water for cleansing as it would help in removing the dirt and dust easily. Use non-alcoholic cleansers only for your face.
2. Moisturizing: Choose moisturizers that clearly mention that they are “oil-free” or “non-comeodogenic”. You may at times have to experiment with a few brands before you find the moisturizer perfect for your skin. It is advisable to apply the prescribed acne medication prior to applying the moisturizer. Many a times you may feel a burning sensation after cleansing; at such times leave your skin free from any application for the next 15 minutes. Then apply your medication and finally the moisturizer.
3. Sunscreen: Give your skin adequate protection from the sun too as the sun can cause immense damage to your already sensitive skin. Choose a sunscreen that has a minimum of SPF 30. SPF is the sun protecting factor that the sunscreen guarantees. Apply generously all over the exposed body parts. Read the literature carefully before purchasing. The sunscreen should also be providing you with UVA and Uvb Protection, that is, protection from the UVA and UVB rays of the sun. Avoid going out between 10 am and 4 pm when the sun is at its harmful best. Cover your body as much as possible to reduce the exposure to the sun. Don’t rush to the skin for the vitamin D; take supplements alternatively. For a tanned look do not opt for tanning beds or the sun. It is safer to go for tanning products instead. You may be able to tackle acne if your follow a healthy and clean skin care regime.
